With its commitment to engaging young people and the local community in active sport, Bondhay Golf Club is holding its second Family Golf Open Day.
The day will offer free PGA Professional Tuition for those who need to brush up on skills or who have never tried the game before, free club hire to those who do not have the equipment, and free rounds on the family friendly Par 3 Academy Course available for everyone throughout the day.
For children of younger ages or children who have never played before, the very latest Tri-Golf and XTreme Golf equipment will be available with lighter, child-friendly clubs and reduced flight balls.
The Bondhay Family Golf Open Day will take place on spring bank holiday Monday – 31st May 2010 between 11am and 4pm.
Mark Hardisty, Club Director commented “Our first open day was a great success with over 100 participants. We hope to increase that number this year and further stimulate and encourage people from all communities to take the opportunity to play golf.”
“We have excellent facilities for players of all ages, sexes and abilities and would like to see as many people as possible come along and try the game for free in a relaxed and family friendly environment.”
Richard Brown, English Golf Union Regional Development Officer commented “’I applaud Bondhay Golf Club for being proactive and promoting golf in the local community and giving people the opportunity to try the game of golf in a fun & enjoyable way, giving those interested further opportunities. It is a great chance for those who have never considered playing golf to come along and try the golf facilities at the club and have a quality family day out”.
The Club's bar will be open all day providing food and drink refreshments.
